Stanley William Hayter 1951 Signed “Trois Personnages” Limited Edition Etching

A 1951 limited edition etching titled, Trois Personnages, by British artist Stanley William Hayter (1901-1988). Presented behind glass in an ornate gold tone frame, the etching depicts an Abstract Expressionist style inverted figure surrounded by frenetic lines and layered geometric shapes. The etching is numbered 9/50, titled, and signed "SWHayter" to the lower portion. 

Stanley William Hayter was a printmaker and painter associated with Surrealism and Abstract Expressionism in the 1930s and 1940s. Hayter is regarded as one of the most significant printmakers of his time. He founded the acclaimed Atelier 17 studio in Paris.

Age appropriate wear to the frame with scratches, scuffs, and marks. Toning to the paper.
