A 1980s acrylic on paper painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled Verdant Hills, this abstract painting captures a vibrant landscape filled with rolling wildflower fields and distant purple mountains. Signed to the lower right, the painting is titled lower left and is unframed.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
