Thomas Whelan Benton 1972 Limited Edition Serigraph Print
A limited edition serigraph print by American artist and activist Thomas Whelan Benton (1930-2007). This 1972 serigraph features a vibrant composition of a red circle surrounded by bands of yellow. Signed by the artist to the lower right and dated 1972, the print is numbered 5/44 and is displayed in a silver tone metal frame.
Originally trained as an architect, Benton eventually turned exclusively to art during the 1960s. Much of his work involved creating political posters, including campaign posters for Hunter S. Thompson, George McGovern, and Gary Hart.
