A 1990 art glass paperweight by the American glass artist Robert Eickholt (born 1947). Signed “Eickholt 1990” to the underside, this paperweight features designs in light blue, dark blue, and black. A trail of control bubbles are cast in the glass. Two large control bubbles are central to the composition of the paperweight.
Robert Eickholt has been practicing the art of glassblowing for over 40 years, opening his own studio, Eickholt Glass, out of Columbus, Ohio in 1978. During this time, he continued his studies from the University of California, to Ohio State and the Columbus College of Art and Design.
