Bertil Vallien Kosta Boda 1980s “Minos” #48466 Pink and White Glass Vase


A 1980s pink and white glass Minos vase designed by the Swedish glass artist Bertil Vallien (born 1938) for Kosta Boda. Made in Sweden, bulb-shaped vase has a pink and white speckled linear pattern. The Kosta Boda sticker is affixed and the vase is signed to the underside “Kosta Boda B Vallien 48466”. 

Bertil Vallien is a highly respected glass artist and designer. In the 1950s, he studied under Stig Lindberg at the art school Konstfack in Stockholm. Best known for his work at Kosta Boda, Vallien is celebrated for sand casted sculptures. Many of these sculptures have the repeated motif faces.
