A 2012 abstract metal sculpture by the American artist David Petrakovktz (born 1947). This sculpture features a structure, composed of various abstract shapes, attached to a circular base, which is signed and dated.
Studying at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit (formerly known as the Art School of the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts), David Petrakovitz has been a full-time sculptor and potter since 1995. His Detroit background has made a significant impact on the art that he creates, drawing inspiration from industrial machines. Many of his pieces are made of steel and resemble vehicles and other pieces of machinery. His work is publicly exhibited across Michigan.
