A stone sculpture by the American sculptor Georgia Strange. Made out of green carved stone, this sculpture features an biomorphic and organic shape, resembling the stump of a tree. This sculpture is unsigned.

After graduating from Indiana University with an MFA in Fine Arts, Georgia Strange returned to the school and served as a tenured professor for 20 years. She received both the James P. Holland Award for Exemplary Teaching and Service to Students as well as the Herman Frederic Lieber Memorial Award in Recognition of Distinguished Teaching. She also taught at the University of Georgia and Centre College of Kentucky.
