A Postmodern pedestal stand by the American sculptor Georgia Strange. This stand features a tin-wrapped, X-shaped pedestal, an oval glass top, and a round wooden base. It is unmarked.
After graduating from Indiana University with an MFA in Fine Arts, Georgia Strange returned to the school and served as a tenured professor for 20 years. She received both the James P. Holland Award for Exemplary Teaching and Service to Students as well as the Herman Frederic Lieber Memorial Award in Recognition of Distinguished Teaching. She also taught at the University of Georgia and Centre College of Kentucky.
