A wall assemblage titled 9 to 5 by American artist Julie Satch Kern. Signed to the bottom right corner, this work combines collage with three-dimensional elements. The "9" and "5" come from a gas station sign numbers and are fixed to a board that has been repurposed from an architectural blueprint from 1912. Paper clippings and metal elements are collaged in the background. The work discusses the work place experience, as indicted by the artist tag verso.

Satch Art Place was started by Julie Satch Kern and based out of Carmel, Indiana before closing in 2020. Satch’s work can be found in private collections in Berlin, Chicago, Washington D.C., Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin, as well as the collection of The Midwest Museum of American Art.
