Thomas King Baker “The Bus Stop” Abstract Ink Drawing


An abstract ink drawing titled The Bus Stop by the American artist Thomas King Baker (1911-1972). Unsigned, this abstract drawing depicts a woman waiting for a bus while wearing a sleek overcoat, cloche hat, a pearl necklace, and holding an umbrella. Titled to the lower right, the drawing is displayed in a gold tone frame and a cream mat. Baker was known for his works made on scrap paper; often from banks or insurance statements.
