Pietro Consagra Limited Edition “Cassetta Sottilissime” Laser Cut Steel Sculpture


A limited edition Cassetta Sottilissime laser cut steel sculpture by Italian sculptor Pietro Consagra (1920-2005).  Signed "consagra” to the front and numbered 30/90, the perforated sculpture stands within a wood base. Dashes and irregular circles populate the abstract steel segment.  

Pietro Consagra studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo and was one of the Forma 1 founding members encouraging structured abstraction and Marxism. Consagra is known for his writings and many wood, metal, and marble sculptures that are now permanently held at the Galerie der Stadt Stuttgart.
