Arthur Umanoff Washington Woodcraft Walnut Magazine Rack


A 1950s Mid Century Modern walnut magazine rack designed by Arthur Umanoff (1923-1985) for Washington Woodcraft. This quintessentially Umanoff piece features two planes of dowels that are connecting at an X-joint. Each of the planes are at an angle that intersects to create a cradle for books, magazines, or a knitting project to rest in. The upper portion of the piece includes a rounded handle.



16” x 22” x 11.5”.

Condition notes:

Discoloration to one area of the wood. Chips to the back base of the legs. Minor scratches, scuffs, and other wear present.
