A 1989 oil on canvas abstract landscape painting by Ukrainian artist Borys Buryak (born 1953). A brightly colored landscape is decorated by colorful rocks jutting from the foreground. Mountains can be seen in the background, as well as the cloudy blue sky. Signed "B Buryak 89" to the lower right corner, this work is displayed in a black frame.
Borys Buryak focuses on depicting Ukrainian landscapes and cityscapes, adding iconography from Ukrainian tradition into his pieces. Buryak graduated from the Ivan Trush College of Arts, receiving more education from the Lviv Academy of Arts. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine and currently runs his own private art school in Lviv. Buryak has received awards, including the National Union of Artists Prize in Ukraine.
