Abner Hershberger was born in Nebraska but has lived in numerous Midwest states. Currently, Hershberger lives in Goshen, Indiana. He has taught at the University of Michigan and is currently a Professor Emeritus of Art at Goshen University. Inspiration is drawn from the flatlands and cultivation of grains of Hershberger's youth.
