Donald Roy Purdy began his art career in abstract painting and later combined his approach with other styles. Purdy lived, painted, and exhibited mostly in New England during his lifetime. His works are in the permanent collections of the Butler Institute, Walter P. Chrysler Museum, Bridgeport, Cincinnati, and Columbus Museums.
