Joseph Burlini Signed 1978 Metal Bicycle Sculpture
A metal bicycle sculpture by American artist Joseph Burlini (born 1937). Made in 1978, this sculpture is composed of multiple rods and circular chrome pieces forming an abstract bicycle attached to a white acrylic and wood base. The base is signed “J.A. Burlini 78”.
Joseph Burlini attended the Art Institute of Chicago and is a self-taught welder and sculptor. He is widely known for designing and creating monumental outdoor sculptures for both public and private spaces including The Pentagon, Walt Disney Studios, and Michael Jordan's home.
