A Pop Art oil on canvas painting titled, In Touch, by American artist Jim Houser (1928-2021). This hard edge abstraction work makes use of definitive lines depicting the exterior of a telephone booth upon a light blue ground. Displayed in a white wooden frame, the painting is signed “JH” to the bottom right corner with provenance information to verso.
Born in Dade City, Florida, Jim Houser is known for creating vibrant Pop Art paintings. Houser began painting as a teenager and studied art at Florida Southern College and the University of Florida. He went on to teach art in Maryland and Kentucky and eventually was the head of the art department at Palm Beach State College.

Repairs have been made in three spots where canvas was patched. Area of craquelure near center of canvas. Stretcher crease along the bottom edge. Other discoloration to verso. Some scuffs and scratches to frame.
