Harry Nadler 1962 Oil on Board Abstract Painting
A 1962 abstract oil on board painting by listed American artist Harry Nadler (1930-1990). Titled Small Painting #8, the painting depicts an array of neutral color with frenetic brushwork throughout. Displayed in a wooden floating frame with a silver tone edge, the painting has a gallery rental tag attached to the verso.
Originally from California, Nadler studied at UCLA and later taught at New York University, UCLA, the University of California Los Angeles, the Brooklyn Museum Art School, Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and the University of New Mexico. Nadler exhibited widely during his lifetime and his works are held in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum, the Detroit Museum of Art, and the Pennsylvania Academy.

Scratches, dents, and scuffs to frame. There are some chips to the paint, some of which are intentionally made by the artist. Signs of wear around the edges of the board. Some pinholes in the corners in the board. Craquelure present.
