A 1990 mixed media abstract painting and collage titled, Wild Child, by American artist Leslie Trewyn (1941-2017). This work depicts a spirited red haired figure in colorful, patterned attire standing on a swing against a midnight ground. White stars, a distant quarter moon, and multiple brightly colored houses populate the background. The painting is signed “TREWYN” to the bottom right corner with the artist tag verso with title. The painting is presented in a metal frame.
Artist and teacher Leslie Trewyn studied at the University of Wisconsin where she earned her B.S. in Art Education. Trewyn found inspiration from her extensive travel, reading, and life experience, painting compositions that evoked the feeling of the experience. She exhibited nationally and regionally to her home and gallery in Wisconsin.

Condition notes:
Some scuffs and scratches to frame. Chip in paint to bottom edge. Other signs of wear consistent with age. A number has been scratched into one side of the frame.
