Marcel Bruer Knoll “Wassily” Brown Leather and Chrome Chair
A vintage brown leather and chrome Wassily chair designed by Hungarian architect and furniture designer Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) for Knoll. Composed of a tubular chrome frame with brown leather straps positioned for comfortable seating, the Bauhaus style chair gives an inspired nod to a bicycle frame. Unmarked, the ends of all the metal tubes are welded to look solid and have no caps.
30.75” W x 28.25” H x 26” D; seat height: 16”.
Some scuffs to underside of seat leather. Front of right arm leather has been repaired. Left side of the backrest has also been repaired. Wear to stitching consistent with age. Some scuffs and scratches to metal. Left support bar is stripped. Minor rust to metal.
