A 1978 artist's proof serigraph on paper by American artist and printmaker Allan d'Arcangelo(1930-1998). This light blue, gray, black, red and white Pop Art print depicts a rocky view from the interior of a transportation vehicle. Hard geometric lines compose window openings revealing a high moon suspended within a light blue sky with abstract boulder formations below.  The print is signed and dated “Allan D’Arcangelo 1978” to the bottom right and numbered “A/P VI” to the bottom left. 
       
Born in Buffalo, New York to Italian immigrant parents, d'Arcangelo received his bachelor's degree in History from the University at Buffalo. After serving in the United States Army, he studied painting at Mexico City College with the GI Bill. D'Arcangelo pursued many styles of art in his lifetime however he is best known for Pop Art, Surrealism, hard-edge and minimalistic painting.

Condition notes:

Tape residue to top two corners. There is a small tear at the top left corner in the margin. Some residual paint to verso. Buckling to the paper. Some wear around the edges. Other age appropriate wear present.
