A 1982 acrylic on paper airbrush painting titled, Total Eclipse, by Indianapolis artist Steve Redman (born 1944). This painting uses an airbrush technique, creating a gradation of blue, white, and black. A large sphere is depicted bordered by white and presented in a frame. The painting is titled, dated, and signed to the verso and signed “Redman 81” to the blue circle.
Born in Poseyville, Indiana, Steve Redman's artistic journey began with an unwavering certainty that can only be described as destiny. Redman attended the John Herron Art Institute for his BFA, Indiana University Bloomington for his MFA, and currently owns and operates his business, Redman Art Restoration. His work has been exhibited throughout the wider Indianapolis area, Chicago, New York, Provincetown, and more, receiving numerous accolades.
