Thelma Confer Signed 1975 “Amoeba” Limited Edition Abstract Serigraph Print


A 1975 limited edition abstract serigraph print titled, Amoeba, by the Indiana artist Thelma Confer (1924-2013). Numbered 9/30, this print depicts circular and biomorphic objects dispersed against a dark yellow and black color blocked ground. The print is displayed behind white mat and in a black frame. 

Thelma Confer studied at the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis where she earned her B.F.A. She was known for painting figural and large abstract compositions. Confer received recognition for her Indiana history series that comprised 52 paintings of celebrated landmarks in Indiana where she lived and exhibited widely.
