David Gil Bennington Potters Split Head Stoneware Sculpture
A sculpture by the American potter David Gil (1922-2002) for Bennington Potters. Marked "Bennington Potters Vermont" to the interior of the head, this stoneware sculpture depicts a head made of two halves that are attached to a piece of translucent acrylic. The acrylic is attached to a rectangular wooden base.
10" x 19.25" x 10".
Minor wear. There are scuffs and scratches to the acrylic and the wood. There is a small chip in one of the ears and one small chip in the back of the head.
