A Lion's Valley stoneware cat vase designed by the American artist and designer David Stewart (born 1930). The vase is formed from a small white glazed cat sits with its paws perched in front of it. The cat's tail curves around its body. The face and ears are partially unglazed, giving it a brown appearance. The body of the cat is tactile with slight indentations throughout.

David Stewart was a potter in San Diego, originally selling his pieces from out of his car. His works for Lion's Valley Stoneware focus on a variety of animals.
