Edward Lewis was an artist and art professor who taught at Sioux Falls College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. Lewis studied in Los Angeles and Minneapolis before serving in the Army in World War II. Lewis pursued his PhD throughout the 1950s, and eventually graduated from Ohio State University in 1959.
