Egon Weiner Signed Bronze Flame Sculpture on Stone Base
A sculpture by the American artist Egon Weiner (1906-1987). Signed near the base, the sculpture is made of bronze and is in the shape of an undulating flame. The sculpture is attached to a square pink stone base. Weiner was a profession at the Art Institute of Chicago and is most well known for his sculpture Pillar of Fire on the grounds of the Chicago Fire Academy, which is the supposed spot where the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 started.
