A set of flatware by Italian designer Gio Ponti (1891-1979) for Reed & Barton. This set of flatware is in the Diamond pattern, a pattern originally introduced in 1958. The solid sterling pieces are marked "Sterling" and "Reed & Barton" and the pieces with sterling handles are marked "Reed & Barton Mirriorstele Sterling Handle." This set is composed of eighty-nine pieces including nineteen teaspoons, thirteen dinner forks, thirteen salad forks, thirteen dinner knives, twelve tablespoons, ten butter knives, one master butter knife, one cake server, one slotted serving spoon, one serving spoon, one ladle, one small ladle, one serving fork, one sugar spoon, and one relish spoon.
There are scratches in the metal from use. Age appropriate wear present.
