Hans Orlowski Signed Ink on Paper "Demeter und Pace" Drawing

A signed drawing by German artist Hans Orlowski (1894-1967). Titled "Demeter und Pace," the drawing is made on collaged and layered paper and depicts two Greco-Roman figures surrounded by acanthus leaves. Signed "Orlowski" along the bottom edge, the drawing is mounted on gray paper and is displayed in a light cream mat and gold tone wooden frame.
A printmaker as well as a painter, Orlowski studied art under Harold Bengen at the Training Academy of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Berlin. However, his studies were interrupted as a result of World War I. After the war, Orlowski continued his studies under Philipp Franch and after receiving his degree he later taught at the Decorative Art Academy at the Charlottenburg location. Orlowski was a member of the Berlin Secession.

15" x 17" x 1" (frame); 8" x 10.25" (sight).
Condition notes:
Some discoloration to the paper. Some scratches and nicks to the frames. There are pinholes at the corner of the drawing.
