A 1959 ink drawing by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Signed and dated to the upper right, this abstract work depicts the artist's dog, Ginger, lying next to a basket with a circle design in the background. The drawing is displayed in a black frame and a cream mat.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.

13” x 12.75” x .5” (frame); 10” x 8.75” (image).

Condition notes:

Scratches and nicks to the frame. Some foxing to the paper. Slight crease in the paper at the center. Tears in the paper along the top left edge of the drawing.
