Harry Hilson Signed 1970s Abstract Birds Batik


A 1970s abstract wax painting batik of birds by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Five birds are depicted on a patch of land with tall grass in the background in this abstract piece. This yellow, orange, and black batik is displayed in a black wooden frame and is signed to the lower right.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
