Harry Hilson 1970s Abstract Structure Series Batik


A 1970s abstract wax painting batik by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004) from the artist's Structure Series. Biomorphic shapes in yellow, tan, blue, and orange are used throughout this abstract work. The batik is displayed in a black wooden frame.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
