Harry Hilson Signed 1973 Wool Tapestry


A wool tapestry by American artist Harry Hilson. Dated 1973 and signed to the verso, this piece features a crescent shaped black pattern, complimented by a pink and maroon design. A green vertical stripe divides the lower portion of the work. The circular design is contrasted against the cream-colored background. The artist tag on the verso is signed and dated by Hilson. 

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.

Overall age appropriate condition. Some discoloration to one area of white wool on front and along one edge when viewed verso.
