A 1978 marker and ink drawing by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled Tuesday Evening, this abstract work in black and gray depicts what appears to be a rocky landscape with cliffs and rocks throughout. Signed, dated, and titled to the lower center, the drawing is displayed in a black and gold tone wooden frame and a cream mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
