Harry Hilson Signed 1984 Abstract Acrylic and Charcoal Painting


A 1984 signed abstract acrylic and charcoal painting by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Biomorphic shapes are painted in yellow, green, pink, and blue in this abstract work. Signed and dated "Hilson 10/84" on the lower right corner, the painting is displayed in a black wooden frame and a white mat.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
