Harry Hilson Signed 1984 Acrylic and Graphite Abstract Painting

A 1984 acrylic and graphite on paper painting by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Rhythmic brushstrokes come together to form a muted view of a swirling and ferocious abstract landscape grounded by two sets of three yellow circles. Signed and dated to the bottom right corner, the painting is presented behind a white mat and in a gold tone metal frame.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
