A 1986 acrylic on paper painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled Red Bud Mountain, this painting features strong vibrant brushwork the comes together to form a colorful wildflower-filled landscape with a cloudy blue sky above. Signed to the lower right, the painting is titled and dated to the verso of the paper. The painting is displayed in a gold tone and cream wooden frame and a white mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
