A hanging batik wax painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Signed to the lower right, this piece depicts a a bold abstract fish in blue, yellow, red, and black. The batik is displayed on two black wooden rods with hanging wire at the top.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
