Harry Hilson Signed Cerebral Series Acrylic and Charcoal on Canvas Painting


An acrylic and charcoal on canvas painting by American artist Harry Hilson's (1935-2004). Signed to the bottom of the canvas, this work is from the artist's Cerebral Series and depicts an abstracted design in yellow, orange, red, blue, and green. Distinct shapes are blocked out in various colors with charcoal accents bordering the shapes. The painting is framed in a black wooden frame. 

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.

Condition notes:

Some unpainted canvas to bottom edge. A few small paint chips/cracks on bottom edge where the painting wraps around the stretcher. Some scuffs to frame. Other age appropriate wear.
