A signed abstract ink and watercolor painting titled Rope Walker by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Signed and titled on the bottom edge, this work is comprised of black and orange watercolor and black ink repeated designs with elements from a rope walker's performance visible. The painting is displayed in a cream wooden frame and a navy mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
