A 1980s acrylic on paper painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled Two Tough Fields to Plough to the lower left, this abstract landscape painting depicts rolling hills studded with green trees and bushes under a blue sky. Signed to the lower right, the painting is displayed in a white mat and a black frame.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
