A signed limited edition serigraph by the American Pop artist James Rosenquist (1933-2017). Titled Toy Prison, this 1972 serigraph depicts colorful letters held behind white and gray bars. Signed and dated to the lower right, the print is titled and numbered 39/150 to the lower left. The print is displayed in a gray metal frame.
Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, James Rosenquist studied art at the University of Minnesota and later moved to New York where he studied at the Art Students League under George Grosz and Edwin Dickinson. Rosenquist painted billboards for a living which later contributed to his artistic style.
