A limited edition abstract still life lithograph by French artist Marcel Mouly (1918-2008). Signed "M. Mouly" to the lower right corner and denoted "EA" to the lower left corner for Artist's Proof, Mouly has captured a scene with a hanging lamp, kettle, and pitcher amongst other items scattered on a table. The print is displayed in a black frame with a white mat.
Marcel Mouly took night classes at French Academies while serving in the Second World War. After the war, he rented Jacques Lipchitz's studio and learned Cubist techniques from the artist. He exhibited alongside of and befriended fellow artists include Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Marc Chagall.
