Marj Peeler Signed Studio Pottery Miniature Vase


A miniature studio pottery vase by American ceramic artist Marjorie Marie Peeler (1926-2017). The speckled glazed vase features a glazed leaf motif which circles the body of the vase. The leaf ring is framed by dark and light blue stripes. Signed "Peeler” to the underside.

Marjorie Peeler was a ceramic artist who worked closely with her husband Richard Peeler under the name "Peeler Pottery." Richard and Marj Peeler met in art class during their sophomore year at Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Together they were full time potters from 1972 until Richard’s death in 1998.
