An orange melamine covered serving bowl made in the 1960s and designed by the Italian designer Massimo Vignelli (1931-2014) for Heller. The lid features two circular raised elements which serve as a handle. The lid sits flush on top of the bowl. On the bottom, a circular makers mark reads "Designed by Massimo Vignelli Heller Made in Italy".
Massimo Vignelli spearheaded designs for advertising, housewares, and furnishings. He and his wife Lella co-founded Vignelli Associates. Vignelli is best known for his use of geometric forms in the Modernist tradition.
