Mineo Mizuno Signed 1981 Studio Pottery Platter with Peppers


A 1981 studio pottery platter with peppers by Japanese-American artist Mineo Mizuno (born 1944). Signed and dated verso, this large platter is glazed in black, with clusters of red peppers going down the center. Partial peppers can be seen wrapping around to the underside of the platter. 

Mineo Mizuno was born in Japan, moving to the United States in the 1960s. He attended the California Institute of Arts and continues to have solo exhibitions in California and Japan. 



21.5” x 3.25” x 21.5”.

Condition notes:

Age appropriate wear. Scratches and scuffs to the underside. There is one spot of glaze miss on the outer edge that has been colored in with black.
