A bronze sculpture of a nude figure by Argentine sculptor Pablo Curatella Manes (1891-1962). Signed "MANES" near the base of the sculpture, the sculpture depicts a Giacometti-style figure is mid-stride on a rectangular bronze platform. The entire sculpture is mounted to a black wooden base.
Pablo Curatella Manes began his career as a typographer before enrolling at the modern day National University of the Arts in Argentina. Manes opened his own art gallery, Salón de Otoño (Autumn Salon), in 1916, while studying under well-known artists including Henri Laurens, Le Corbusier, and Aristide Maillol. He was also active in the Salon des Independants, donated dozens of paintings to the Argentine government, and contributed to UNESCO events.
