A lithograph after a drawing by the modern artist Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). This piece depicts a portrait of an abstract figure smoking and is displayed in a black wooden frame and a cream mat.
This lithograph was pulled from the publication Le Goût du Bonheur, a collection of lithographs faithfully reproduced from three of Picasso's sketchbooks drawn in 1964. Printed in 1970, this collection had 666 limited printings from the three publishers Harry N. Abrams, New York: Editions Cercle d'Art, Paris; and Carl Schünemann Verlag, Breman for a total of 1,998 copies. Several proofs and some Special Albums were printed as well. The printing was done in the studios of Guenther Dietz in Munich and was personally supervised by Picasso. This particular print came from set no. 603 published by Harry N. Abrams.
