While studying architecture and eventually graduating from \u003cspan\u003eIuav University of Venice, Pelzel worked at S.A.L.I.R., the Venetian glass studio where his father worked. He later went on to work as a designer at Vistosi and then collaborated with La Murrina. He also worked for the Treviso glass firm, Vetrelco.
