The top of the table is marked \"Philip + Kelvin LaVerne.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA father and son duo, the LaVerne's furniture technique is a unique process that involved burying bronze and pewter in a particular soil for six weeks that oxidized the metal naturally. \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eTheir unique process of patinating metal took six years to develop. Both father and son attended art school in New York, Philip attending the Arts Student League and Kelvin starting at City College and later switching to Parsons, in addition to also studying at the Arts Student League.
